JAXXON JAMES

Jaxxon James grew up in Long Beach, California and never really left the coast — even after he moved to Los Angeles, which is just Long Beach with better lighting and worse parking.

He’s thirty-two, six foot two, lean, tasselled dyed blond with sparkling green eyes. The kind of person who glides into a room on the balls of his feet and makes it look effortless. Leather jacket or board shorts depending on the day. Both work. That’s the thing about Jaxxon — most things work on him and he knows it without making it a personality.

His father died when he was young. That’s where the music started — in the car, listening, enjoying the sound together, then alone, trying to fill the vast emptiness his hero left behind. He valet parks and waits tables in Los Angeles because that’s what you do when the catalogue isn’t out yet and the rent doesn’t care about your timeline. He calls his mother often. He is a good son.

The music is Vibe Physics — grunge and alt-rock with gritty rap vocals sitting on a baritone frame. Everclear’s edge, Nickelback’s hook, Radiohead’s unease underneath it all. He plays guitar — acoustic and electric — and can play keys but won’t unless pushed.

He writes what he witnesses. That’s the whole method.

Jaxxon James is APRA AMCOS registered and released through Seeker James Publishing.
